British citizenship approval email

Hi,

I applied to become a British citizen together with my son. I just received my approval, but I have trouble understanding if this is the approval for my sons application as well, or if he will receive a separate email in his name? The email does not mention him as it only addresses me, but have this part:

“This will not affect XX application as he does not need to attend a ceremony. His/her certificate will be sent directly to you”

As I understand it all applications are processed individually - so in due course there should be another email to you (if you provided your email address in son's application), or a letter, and his certificate to arrive in the post. Perhaps others with direct experience will confirm my assumption.

I think it has mentioned your sound approval as well. They will only send your sons certificate now while you wait for your invitation letter for your ceremony. I have read something like that from someone’s posting in the past.
