HOME OFFICE CALLED FOR REPORTING TO EATON HOUSE LONDON ON SATURDAY!

Post by Kk132372 » Sun Jun 27, 2021 1:18 pm

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are doing well.

I am here to ask for some advise for a family I have known for a while now. The family's (Husband, wife & two daughters) have been here in the UK since 2012/2013. The asylum application has been ongoing since 2014 wherein they have had an initial refusal with no right to appeal in 2015. Followed by a further submissions in 2018 which was refused but gave them a right to appeal. The FTT was refused in 2019 followed by UT and then cart JR refusal in 2020.

The family has been advised by their lawyer to put a fresh claim with new evidence and also on the basis that one of the daughters was 12 years old when she arrived in the UK in 2013 with mum and dad. She has completed her education and could have been accepted under the 7 years rule but they didn't know so didn't file that application. Now, she could apply under the 18-25 years rule but she would be eligible in the next 2 and a half years. The other daughter came on a student visa in 2012. The elder daughter resides with her partner (who's FLR is pending) in London.

The situation currently is that they haven't yet made a fresh claim but have received a letter from the HO separately. The husband, wife and younger daughter have been asked to come for an interview to verify their nationality in Salford and on the other hand, the elder daughter has been asked to come to the reporting centre (Eaton House) on a SATURDAY ( which is a little unusual) as the reporting centre opening timings are Mon-Fri. The family now fears that they might detain them. Could it just be for an interview by any chance?

If anyone has any suggestion or advise then please share. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone!

Could someone please advise on this matter as one of the daughters (elder) has been asked to report this coming Saturday. Could it just be an interview or could they detain?

The lawyer would more likely be able to file a submission this week before Saturday. Can the HO still detain her even if they have submitted a new claim? Also, because it's Saturday the family is worried that the courts won't be open either in case they need a bail if they detain.

I'm trying to help this family as much as possible therefore any help/suggestion will be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
