Hello all,

Would really appreciate if people on this forum could help.

My son was born in the UK in May 2021 and I got ILR on Tier 2 via 5 years route in July 2021. I understand I can now apply for registering my son as British by submitting MN1 form. However, do I need to register the birth of my son with Indian embassy first and then could apply for British citizenship ?? As without this registration he is currently stateless.
