First Passport documents

Hi,

I have recently received my naturalisation certificate after long residency ILR.

My parents live abroad and have never been in the UK but have been asked to send my father's birth certificate/ naturalisation certificate and my parents marriage certificate.

I live with my husband and children and can't fathom why my parent's documents are being requested specially when my claim is not based on my parents nationality?

To me, it sounds strange. Is there a way out or do i have to submit this to get my passport?

Patents documents are NOT required!!
