As soon as the child has been given British citizenship, any leave to remain they have ceases automatically, as a British citizen can't have leave to remain.
If the child is granted British citizenship (i.e. they have been issued the certificate), apply for either a first child British passport (can take six months to a year) or a CoE-RoA in an existing non-UK passport if the child is eligible to hold the non-UK passport. The latter option is much more expensive, but can be faster (six to sixteen weeks).
