Reuse Naric certificate and application dates

Post by darpan86 » Wed Nov 03, 2021 9:00 am

Hello Experts,

I am going to apply for ILR next month and started reading and collecting documents, Also,I have filled my application online around 35-40 days prior to my eligibility date (i.e 28 days before 5 year anniversary) as I was not sure how busy the application canters are - just to clarify here I have only filled the form and not yet taken the appointment date and as I am reading more posts I am getting few questions

* Is it okay to fill the application form 40 days prior to the eligibility date : As per my understanding, I have only filled the form so does not matter as long as the application date is within 28days of 5 year anniversary, right ?

* I got my naric certificates 5 years before when I applied for Tier 2 general so can I reuse the same certificates for my ILR application ? I haven't found any post which suggests that so verifying with the experts here.

If you do not pay and submit an application, you do NOT have an application. NARIC is enough

Then book the appointment on a day that you are eligible for ILR

Absences from the UK but continues to work remotely

Post by darpan86 » Thu Nov 04, 2021 11:40 am

Hi Experts,

I am going to complete 5 years soon and will apply for ILR next month and there is one question I have, Mostly, I have spent time in UK in the last 5 years , just visited my home country during my annual leave. But this year it's bit of a medical emergency so I went to my home country and worked twice from there - 4 weeks in February and came back and then went again and worked 4 weeks in August together with utilising my 4 weeks of annual leave so In total 12 months

4 weeks in February - working remotely
8 weeks in Aug and Sept - working remotely along with taking annual leave

In terms of absences, it's still within 180 days in a rolling year and I am going to provide medical certificates with a proper description but want a suggestion on how to write about working remotely. It was for my personal reasons (or medical emergencies) and I had taken all approvals from the company.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Regards
Dipanshu

As long as your absences were approved by the sponsor then there is no need to provide any evidence. Just an employer letter will be enough

Yes did more or less the same and the employer said “annual leave + working remotely” in their letter. Recently got ILR, no issues.

Tier2 date on Employer's letter

Post by darpan86 » Thu Nov 11, 2021 9:44 pm

Hello Experts,

I am going to fill ILR soon and talking to my employer about the letters I need. There is one question on the sponsorship date

When I joined the company I was on tier-2 dependent visa and after 10 months my company sponsored me and I switched to Tier-2 general so the dates are as follows:

28th Feb 2016 - I joined this company on tier-2 dependent visa
25th Dec 2016 - when I received the vignette (stamp on my passport) for Tier-2 Visa
06th Jan 2017 - when I entered UK and the same date is mentioned in my BRP which was saturday.

I want to know which date my employer should use to mention in the letter that this individual is on Tier-2 general since 25th Dec 2016 or 06th Jan 2017 or 8th Jan 2017 (first monday when I started going to office) ?

Your sponsor mentions the date you started working for them. Your ILR eligibility counts from first visa issue date regardless

Thanks Zimba,

Just want to clarify one more doubt on the related question.

The date mentioned on the vignette (stamp on my passport) for Tier-2 Visa is 25th Dec 2016 but the issue date on the BRP is 06th Jan 2017, when I calculate 28 days, should it be from when I received the vignette or the BRP issue date which is the same date when I entered UK after receiving the Visa.

Hi Darpan,

Hope you are doing good. I am also due to file for ILR soon. I will be grateful to you, if you could confirm if the 5 years old UK NARIC document worked for you and did you get your ILR?
