Sponsorship Form

Post by dpotta98 » Sat Mar 19, 2022 11:17 am

Hello, I need help. So my fiance (Filipina) is applying for a uk family visa and coming here for 6 months to get married. After 6 months we intend to extend the visa for 2 and half years I believe. After extending, my fiance will be applying to work. So I'm wondering if I need to fill out the sponsorship form or not. Currently I am the one paying for everything since she doesn't have employment, but after the 6 months and when we have the extension she will begin working and earning her own money. Which is why I'm wondering whether I need to do the sponsorship form. It says on the sponsorship form to support her for 5 years but it will only get for 6 months. I don't know if the form stops her from being able to work here in the UK that is why I haven't completed it yet. Could someone please help me, and do excuse my ignorance I am new to all this and still young.

Just to add, can she extend/switch the visa for 2 and half years while remaining in the UK? She doesn't have to return home back to the Philippines?

Thank you, Daniel!

No!
No to not needing the form? Or no to not stopping her from working?

You do NOT need to complete the su07 form.

OK thank you very much, put my mind to ease. I did try calling places but they couldn't give me an answer

In answer to your second question - as long as she's on a valid visa, she doesn't need to leave the UK to switch to a spouse visa, however, you do need to apply before the fiancé visa expires.
