Correspondence requirement? - spouse visa

Post by nikosGRUK75 » Tue Jun 07, 2022 9:25 pm

Dear all - we celebrated with my American partner our civil partnership in April. Two days ago we did our family route/spouse visa. We did everything right (I believe), so a bit confused, as the checklist contains in the "other documents" a requirement for joint correspondence in our address for the last two years. We met in October and my partner moved in with my in January.

Have we made an error? I had researched this extensively and I am certain that the civil partnership certificates nullified the 2-year rule.

Any help much appreciated. Many thanks

I agree.

However, start collecting these documents for the next extension and ILR applications to evidence that the relationship is subsisting.
