Hi,

Can the same old NARIC Certificates and the LIUK Test URN that were used to support the ILR application be used for the Citizenship application as well?

I had acquired the ILR in 2021.

Many Thanks.

Many Thanks.

For the question Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?, I have answered NO as I do not have kids and my spouse works and is on her own independent T2 General visa and as such not dependent on me in any way.

Is my response to this question fine?

Many Thanks.

Many Thanks alterhase58.

Not a query, but just an observation that a few questions like the details about previous employment, being an EEA national etc. have been automatically removed from the application form.

They were there when I filled the application at the start of this month but have now disappeared when I am reviewing the form.

Also, a few other questions about good character were added which I answered last week when reviewing the form.

Just wondering if that's normal and if this could impact the application in any way?

Is it acceptable by the Home Office that the Referees fill and sign the Referee Forms in BLUE ink?

Many Thanks.

There has been an update to the rules issued on 28 June 2022: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-guidance
"Guidance updated to reflect Nationality and Borders Act changes coming into effect on 28 June 2022."
So your're straddling the before and after, but it's normal, happens from time to time, not so much for naturalisation.
Again, no issue.

That makes sense.

I just had a quick look at the new Guidance and clicked the link for the Professional person as Referee.

The link
https://www.gov.uk/countersigning-passp ... ignatories
provided on the guidance does not list Approved Driving Instructor.

One of my referees is an ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) and for how he knows me, I have mentioned Former Colleague at XYZ. He used to work with me but went on to become a Driving Instructor.

The second Referee is a Software Engineer and I have mentioned Friend for how he knows me.

Are these two Referees acceptable, especially the Driving Instructor as a Professional person?

Many Thanks.

Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

For this question, I have responded YES and have listed the details of my ILR, T2 (General), T2 ICT Long Term Staff Partner and T2 ICT Short Term Staff Partner visas.

Is this fine?

Also, I do not know the dates when fingerprints were taken for the ICT Dependant visas and have left them blank.
I hope that is fine.

Please could the Moderators/ Experts advise.

Many Thanks

The details you provided alright.
For the fingerprints you may have an idea of around when it was done, you may get this probably from your mail or other means of record kept.

Thank you. I could not find any records for the Biometric appointments for the Dependant visas.

Is leaving those fields blank okay?

I believe it's and optional field - if not then provide an estimated date - not an issues that has come up previously.

You are right. It says "if known" in the question.

I will leave it blank then.

Many Thanks.

Could I please request you to respond to the question regarding the Referee that I had posted earlier in this thread?

Many Thanks.

As for the professional referee, if the the ADI is not listed as acceptable then best to find someone else who is on the list.
Second referee sounds ok if all requirements are met - friends can be referees.

I came across the below link which has been published for Home Office staff on 30 June 2022 and it specifies "Driving Instructor (approved)" as one of the acceptable professional persons.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... d-guidance

Commonly used terms in Nationality regulations and guidance
This page provides summaries of terms commonly used in connection with nationality applications.

‘Acceptable professional persons’ means:

accountant
airline pilot
articled clerk of a limited company
assurance agent of recognised company
bank or building society official
barrister
British Computer Society (BCS) - professional grades which are Associate (AMBCS), Member (MBCS), Fellow (FBCS) (PN 25/2003)
broker
chairman or director of limited company
chemist
chiropodist
christian science practitioner
commissioner for oaths
councillor: local or county
civil servant (permanent)
dentist
designated premises supervisors
director or Manager of a VAT registered charity
director, manager or personnel officer of a VAT registered company
driving instructor (approved)

Can you please have a look at the above link as well?

Many Thanks.

As per the list since driving instructor (approved) is there means you can use, this is in line with the earlier response from alterhase58.
So you are good to go on referees.
