Whether a Referee has been contacted by Home office?

Hello - Does anybody know if Referees will be contacted during the processing of Naturalization? I'm just curious to know if all Referees will be contacted or selectively so that I can at least be sure that my case is being worked on..

As far as is known referees for naturalisation are not contacted routinely.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
