MN1 Registration for UK born son

Post by bgurukishore » Fri Oct 07, 2022 4:08 pm

Hi,

Please help with below query.

I was on Skilled Worker visa in 2020 and my Son born in 2020 in the UK. We applied for him of the country passport I hold. So now myself and my sons and wife passports are from same country. And my son hold dependent visa of my Skilled Worker visa which is expires on 23-Jul-2023.

I'm going to get my ILR this month Oct-2022. Question is,

1) Once I get my ILR and my wife get ILR by Feb-2023, can my son eligible for MN1 registration ?
2) Once MN1 is completed, can we apply for my son directly British passport ?

Please do not tag your questions onto other members topics.

1. Once either parent has ILR, you can register the child as British on form MN1.

2. Yes, once his application is approved and you receive the registration certificate that he is British.
