Renewing home country passport during naturalization application

Hello. Late last year my wife made an online application for UK nationalization. She is currently awaiting the decision. She scanned her current Vietnamese passport as part of the application process. However her Vietnamese passport is due to expire in two weeks time and she wishes to renew it. Is she able to do this given her current passport details are with UKVCAS? Should she inform UKVCAS that she intends to renew her Vietnamese passport? Thank you in advance. Chris.

Current passport expiring during the naturalisation process is not an issue, also you don't need to advise UKVI that you are applying for a new passport. Note that UKVCAS is no longer involved with the application, it's Home Office UKVI processing it now.
