BRP card not received for more than three months

Post by gigabyte19 » Wed May 03, 2023 10:12 pm

Hi everyone
I have been waiting for my BRP card since my application (extension) under the partner route (FLR M) was approved on January 27, 2023, in the UK. Every time I report it, the BRP delivery team keeps telling me that: “We have encountered a problem when trying to produce your BRP. Our technical team are working to resolve it as soon as possible and they will contact you again in due course”.

I got my MP involved but he received the exact same message. I also launched a formal complaint to the Home Office but nothing moved forward for more than three months now. I cannot contact my caseworker directly because the confirmation email provided no such details.

I really need your help as we urgently need to travel back to my home country for the IVF treatment scheduled for this month. Anyone with similar experience:
    • Could you advise on what else I can do or who else I can contact and how? I have a feeling that nobody is actually trying to resolve this issue but keep sending me these standard emails.
Could you also advise if/how I can obtain a temporary permit/visa in my passport which will allow me to travel and re-enter the UK without my BRP card?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

You might have to apply for a replacement BRP visa when you're abroad, but might take extremely long.

If you need to leave and re-enter the UK before you get your BRP, apply for a ‘replacement BRP visa’. This will let you re-enter the UK once only. It costs £154

It would be a bad advise to tell OP to even consider that as an option. OP could be stuck out there indefinitely. That would have a ripple effect on job and life in general. No to mention overstaying in country with no residency.

My advise, keeping fighting within. Anyway and Anyhow.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Hi, just wondering whether you have received your BRP as I seem to be stuck in the same situation . Waiting for BRP for 2 months now .
