Advice_Can baby travel outside while visa application in process

Hello,

My baby is 5 months old and we have applied for his dependent visa here in the UK. We are yet to hear about visa decision. Due to some family emergency we want to leave the country. We can arrange baby's BRP delivered to us before travelling back to UK.Will there be any complications? Can we leave with his visa application in process? Please advice.

Any immigration application (there is no age-based exemption) is automatically (i.e. by operation of the law, no caseworker action required or discretion provided) considered withdrawn if the applicant (in this case, the baby) leave the UK.

You may be better off withdrawing the application, traveling abroad and then making a dependent application from outside the UK.
