I have Very Good News:
I have been granted FLR (FP)
Fee waiver application: 04/12/2023
Fee waiver granted : 01/07/2024
Full application Submission: 12/07/2024
Biometrics: 07/08/2024
Granted: 04/11/2024 for 2.5yrs.
Family of 3 plus 1 adult child (4)

I used a lawyer through out.

I thank God for this. The journey is quite emotionally draining. But keep the faith.

For those still waiting God’s speed! Thank you .
I am going through an agonising wait for passports to be sent back; My decision email was on 4th November but till now 5th December I have not received the passports back. Funny thing is my adult child's one (which was a separate application) came after just 1 week. I am at a loss. Lawyer has written Home Office but nothing yet.......
I have finally received my passports back after 5 weeks 4 days since the decision email! My lawyer had to fill in a form to request passports back (gives you 10 working days to get it back) and passport came on the last 10th day, since the request form was submitted. :o But its ended well so Grateful to God...

Hi everyone I have a question please. I am trying to switch my visa from partner 10 year route to parent 5 year route. I have paid and submitted my application however now I'm a bit confused because I know I have filled out everything to do with a parent of a child application but it is asking for a family declaration which requires spouses to sign. If I go through the checklist and the application form aswell it asks for evidence to prove relationship with child. Why would it require this if I have said I'm not in a relationship and applying for parent. Do I ignore this? But this is coming under mandatory documents as well as consent form for me to fill out for bank and joint accounts and sponsors. Please help.

Hi s786 according to gov website Flr fp standard guideline processing time has changed from 6 months to 12 months but theres no time limit, all depends on the complexity of the case and which route you applied under, im also similar waiting time i applied fee waiver march got accpeted august, applied for flr ,done bio and still waiting , i made a complaint and they just replied application is under consideration , I would suggest you complain using complaint email you can find online stating your concerns and stress your concerns to your local mp to contact the home offcie also on your behalf, unfortunately not much contact out there because if there was direct contact they will be piled in with emails and requests. its just a matter of a waiting game, only on very serious circumstances like a family death or medical reasons they will expedite the case quickly, this is a bit of the response i got when i made a complaint:

"It may be helpful if I explain that applications submitted on a 10-year partner, parent or private life route and also on a 5-year parent route are not currently subject to any service standards.

Our website was updated on 26 November 2024 to advise that applications on the above routes are now taking around 12 months to complete; some may take longer. Further details are available on our website at: Visa processing times: applications inside the UK - GOV.UK.

Applications are considered on their own merits, and we endeavour to consider them as quickly as possible. However, there may be circumstances which result in an extended delay in the application processing time. The timescale for making a decision is also dependent upon the nature and extent of our enquiries. Some of these enquiries are with other Government departments and external agencies to ensure that our statutory requirements have been satisfied. The extent and length of time taken to complete such enquiries varies according to the individual circumstance of each application.Because of these reasons we are unable to provide a timescale for completion, but please be assured that every endeavour is being made to conclude this application at the earliest opportunity.

Our threshold for expediting is only considered in the most serious life-threatening circumstances. We normally only accept a request to expedite an application ahead of others in situations such as where a customer needs to travel to attend a close relative’s funeral abroad, or to attend to a severely ill relative overseas who requires one-to-one care that cannot be provided by another individual. They are only granted in the most serious of cases."

so its kinda a joke that someone have to die or be seriously ill for them make a decision. so they can make a decision quick if they really wanted to but if you dont have a extreme reason they just take their time and chill out but good luck and i hope we all get a decision sooner.

Hi please can I asked which form you all completed? I tried the private life one and it’s asking about his parents in the uk but there not inside the uk then I try partner and it’s saying we have a financial requirement to meet which we don’t meet and that’s not a requirement for flr fp 10 year route 😭 this is our 4 extension I never known it be like this the privious times

Hi,

My 1st 2.5yrs flr fp 10year route expires in July and I'm planning to apply in June for priority.

I have a question. Someone told me, if you submit an English test with your application for 2nd extension, HM gives you 5yrs instead of 2.5yrs.
Has anyone here ever done that or knows how true this is?

Also, if true, can i convert my WAEC result to UK standard and submit that instead of doing a fresh English test?

Hi Everyone!

I applied for FLR FP in December 2024, I have a solicitor’s qualification exam end of April and I require my physical passport to enter the exam. Is it possible to request my passport back temporarily without withdrawing or impacting my application?

Would be grateful for any assistance!

Hello

I have applied for my wife FLR FP on 26th dec 2024 and her biometric and all documents submitted on 7th jan she received an email with acknowledgment that

“ The Home Office has received your application and supporting information submitted on 26 Dec
2024. Our aim is to provide a decision on your application by 20
Feb 2025.
Do not contact UK Visas and Immigration before this date, we cannot provide any update on your application.
We will contact you if there is a delay with your application or if we need more information.“

Which is exactly 8 weeks from 26th December does this mean she will get her FLR FP before this date or this was general response this is her 3rd and possibly last extension before Ilr as her 10 years will be completed i am british and my two children are also British and we submitted photo copy of our passport along with other documents to support her application

Sorry to post it here but this is the only topic where people know about FP visa. Even Mods and senior members commented in my post that we won't get this visa.

I got couple of questions:

It's about a widowed lady with her 17 year old daughter who has just completed her 7 years in UK.

They came as visitors and overstayed.

1) Can they get fee waiver as not working in UK and supported by family.

2) Will daughter get 60 months or 30 months?

3) Can mother get 60 months as well as she is sole parent?

4) Should we apply together or daughter first?

5) Will mother keep getting extensions even if daughter becomes independent as she probably will if mother is on 10 year route. She will be 28 by the time it completes.

6) Mother is on medication for schizophrenia and is being supported by family. Should we mention that as part of app?

7) can they apply with expired Indian passports?

Hi, I applied for FLR FP on 22/12/2024 and I completed my biometrics on 06/01/2025.

1) I did not receive any email confirming that they have received my documents, I saw on the thread that others received an email as such. Is this a normal occurrence?

2) How can I prove my immigration status, I literally can’t find a way to prove right to work or residency which I need for various things. I thought while awaiting a decision we are deemed to be on the same terms are the previous visa.

Any guidance would be great!

Hi thanks for responding! What did the email you received say? I checked and I did not receive anything. I only got confirmation following payment and before I went to my biometrics appointment.

Hi Nk33 regarding status, yes if you provide in time your previous leave still remains, question is how to prove it!, its an ongoing issue with ukvi, they have even been ordered by high courts July 2024 to provide those with 3c leave digtital status as the courts ruled its unlawful but many are still without which causes issues for many things and when i complained to them to provide me with digital proof they still use same rhetoric reasoning you have 3c leave status and employers or other authorities can use online checking services, So im still chasing them for that. I would say you can either write a complaint or contact your local Mp or both and ask solicitor if you use one., heres a link which discusses new rules for 3c and at the bottom of the page under the heading "What does this mean for you "theres a template which you can use to send to the home office. best of luck

Thank you for the reply! It’s just such an unfortunate system, especially when we have to pay so much.
Also did you by any chance receive further home office confirmation after your biometrics that your application is now with them? I only received the initial confirmation after I paid that my application is submitted.

Based on my previous applications, this is my 4th extension under the 10 year route, after submitting applicaton you get a online proof of submission and then i went to do biometrics at the ukba centre i get another confirmation letter saying today you provided biometics etc , and then its a waiting game. only after a few months i make a complaint i get the ususal responses its within guideline times cant give update but it is under consideration etc etc. again you can write a complaint or get intouch with mp to get in contact with them for an update if its been a while.

I’ve been on this feed for some time now & thought id share my immigration journey.

I’m from the UK & my husband is from America, we applied for the FLR FP visa due to not meeting the financial requirement after the immigration laws changed, we also have a 17 month old daughter and I’m 7 months pregnant.

We used a solicitor throughout the whole process as it can be very very stressful.

Visa Waiver Applied: 27th August 2024
Visa Waiver Granted: 7th October 2024
Visa Application Submitted: 17th October 2024
Biometrics Submitted: 11th November 2024
Visa Granted: 15th January 2025

Now we just wait for him to get his passport back!

I would like to add this was our first application.
