Switching from Spouse Visa to Student Visa for OPT

Hi,

I would like to know if I can study part-time on Spouse Visa for a Master's program and switch to Student Visa in the last semester and enroll as a full-time student for one semester to get OPT work authorization. I do not want to switch to Student Visa in the beginning of enrollment as it will force me to become a full-time student. Will I be eligible for OPT work authorization if I have been enrolled as a full-time student on student visa for one semester but had been enrolled as a part-time student on a spouse visa for at least one year before transition?

The social security numbers and work authorization for OPT and spouse visas are very different in terms of strength. Moreso, it takes a long period to get them authorized. Sometimes 6 months, some over a year.
