Student asylum application

Post by Ayezal » Fri May 30, 2025 9:51 pm

Hi All,
I need your valuable insight about the chances of success for an asylum application where a student has applied for an asylum (He has applied based on his Ahmedi passport that his life is in threat at Pak due to his religion?) on first entry in UK as a student. He has paid 60% fee to uni upfront.
1. Will he get the uni fee refunded as he has applied for an asylum before going to Uni?
2. If uni refunds the fee, will it be sent back to the original bank which was used to pay the fee, or would they refund it to the student via cheque?
3. His fiancé is planning to report him to the home office. Will HO listen to them? His family is living at Rabwa safely.
4. Can his asylum application get successful besides the fact that he has shown a huge bank statement, have one year student visa which means he is not in an immediate danger as he can easily complete his one-year degree and get post study visa or a job and can stay longer without the need of getting an asylum status.

5. If his asylum application get refused, will his student visa stay intact?

Please advise! I apologise if these queries are beyond the scope of this forum.

So your "friend" is trying to game the asylum system?

Yes he is trying to scam the system. I am not his friend. I am his Fiancé's friend.

If he is studying he needs to pay the tuition fees. Where would a refund come into it?
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
