Renewing passport before stage 2

Hi everyone,

I am applying for the endorsement (stage 1). However, my passport is expiring and need to be renewed. Given the time frame of Stage 1, it is likely that I need to renew my passport before stage 2. Is it possible to apply with the new passport and submit a scan of the old passport for stage 2?
