ILR Application Form SET(O) OR SET(M) OR SET(F)

Hello There

I am recently become birtish citizen. Now I am planning to apply ILR for my wife and two kids (under 13 years). what is the application form I should be using for my wife and my kids?

when I applied ILR, I used SET(O).
now for my wife and kids currenly on my depdent visa (skilled worker 5 years route).
Should I be using SET(M) OR SET(O) ? Can you please help me with it.

And can I apply in same form for kids also which my wife is going to apply? or I should be using SET(F)? Please help me with it.

and when I apply for my wife ILR, I think salary recuirments are not applicable for her, am I right?

finally, Once I have ILR for my kids and wife, can I apply naturlisation immidatley aftr ILR or do they need to wait for 12 months ?

Form SET O. Add children to Spouse form.

There is no financial requirement.

If they meet rhe requirements they can apply for citizenship. Ask these questions in the citize ship sub forum!

Many thanks for your respond on this. So SET(O) for my wife and kids though I am already settled in the UK as a british citizen.

DO NOT apply using form SET(M) if you are a dependent of someone under a work related route

when I applying the form, there is a question

"Date you first entered the UK - When did you first enter the UK?
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started. "

My family has come to UK First (Physically) - 3rd Dec 2020
In my wife's Frist BRP Card (Type of Permit - PBS Depdent Leave to Enter) Valid from 05-OCT-2020
In my Kid's Frist BRP Card (Type of Permit - PBS Depdent Leave to Enter) Valid from 28-SEP-2020
In my wife's passport first VISA sticker says Vaild From 21 Sep 2020 and Valid End 20-DEC-2020

Consdiering that I will be submitting my family ILR VISA on 16th OCT 2025.

Which Date I should be considering for my family ILR qualifying period?
And Which Date I should be entering Date you first entered the UK - When did you first enter the UK?
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started.

This has been answered many many times before. That question on the form has no relevance to the qualifying period calculation. This is NOT a trick question, answer what is asked. Also the date of entry is irrelevant under this route.

The date of earliest ILR eligibility is the first visa approval date + 5 years - 28 days

Also note that the time spent between visa approval and first entry counts as lawful.

Counting the continuous residence period

Where a person is applying for settlement as soon as they qualify you will need to
calculate their period of continuous residence. See Check immigration history
section of this guidance on how to calculate the period of continuous residence.

In these instances, you must establish the date the applicant was granted entry
clearance. The time between the grant of entry clearance and the date of arrival is a
period during which they had permission on that route and should be treated as a
period of lawful residence. In these instances, you must establish the date the
applicant entered the UK. The time between the grant of entry clearance and the
date they entered the UK counts towards the total of absences.

Where the applicant is applying on the basis that they were born in the UK,
continuous residence is calculated from their date of birth.

Now I am clear. you are great person, helping all who comes here.

So far, I got clarifed following,
1. I am going use SET(O) for my kids and my wife, though I am currenly holding Biritish passport.
2. I am going to consider first visa approval date for ILR eligibility which is 21st Sep 2020 (As per passport sticker valid from).
3. I am going to enter entry date (3rd Dec 2020) for the question "Date you first entered the UK - When did you first enter the UK?"

final question, Do I need to declare absence in the ILR applications form between First visa approval date ( 21st Sep 2020) and physical entry date to the UK (3rd Dec 2020)?

I assume no need to declare as they are not exists 180 days period between 3rd dec 2020 to 3dec 2021. Please confirm this last one.

I am really sorry to coming back to you again. But I really need your intput.

I started filling the ILR applications,

There is a part of application called 'The person you are joining or accompanying'

What is Mr saisathiyasms country of nationality? British Citizen (My option)
and I have given my uk passport number, date of birth, etc.,

one of the question is Mr saisathiyasms current UK immigration status - Which visa is Mr saisathiyasms applying for or been granted? Choose the route that Mr saisathiyasms has applied for or been granted, even if their application is still being processed.

I should be selecting as 'Skilled worker Visa' right? though my current UK immigration status changed to BC.

That question is should be answered as per your previous visa status

I have confusion because, in drop down it showing both Tier (2) General and Skilled worker both are showing.

First when I came to UK (In Mar 2019) I my visa called as Tier(2) General Migrant
and then in 2022, I changed my visa and its bcame Skilled worker Visa.

Based on your answer, I should be selecting Skilled worker Visa, Am I right?.

If so, followed by It was asking GWF or VAF number, If I select skilled worker visa, I may not be having both of the nummber. Or Can I select GWF and provide the skilled worker visa number (unquire application reference number)?

You are wildly overthinking this and missing the big picture. You do not need to provide any GWF or VAF number. It does not matter which route to choose either. Just provide minimal information. The UKVI already has all they need on their systems regarding your status. What you enter is not critical at all and has no effect on the decision

You cannot be refused when there is no ground for refusal as per the immigration rules. The answers on the form are just treated as guides for the caseworkers. They do not magically change the facts about your status.
