Immigration clarified it this way, if I understand it correct it means 90 days are counted backwards everyday all the way up to 12 months prior, can anyone correct my understanding ?!TryllZ wrote: ↑Sun Oct 12, 2025 7:45 amHi All,
Does anyone know how is the 90 days a person stays out of the country calculated.
Is it 90 days between 1st January to 31st Dec, or from calculated from the most recent travel backwards upto 12 months.
I could not find this information anywhere.
Thank You
As per Immigration Service Delivery guidelines, applicants cannot be absent from the state for more than 90 days in any one rolling year. A rolling year is any 365 day period. This is not dependant on the permission you hold.
Definition of a rolling year:
A continuous 12 month period that is measured backwards from any given date, rather than a fixed calendar year. It rolls forward day by day, always looking back over the previous 12 months.
