Parking Tickets?

Post by Imm2021 » Wed Nov 05, 2025 2:26 pm

Hi,

Question. I was going through the AN guidance for citizenship, and there is a section (under good character I believe) that says that all parking and speeding tickets should be disclosed or something like that. The application itself however, only asks if one has committed any offences that have resulted in a driving disqualification. I've gotten some parking tickets in the past, but I quite frankly don't remember the details. I also got a ticket for marginal speeding for which I did the speed awareness course a few years aggo. My understanding is that neither of those rresult in disqualifications though, and I've always paid straightaway. Is one supposed to provide a list of all the tickets? Or should we just say that we've gotten some tickets in the past? Any advice in this regard is much appreciated 😉

The speed awareness course does not count as a driving offence, no need to be declared.

If the parking tickets were paid on time and no other actions were taken, then no need to be declared either.

Proof of Living in the UK

Post by Imm2021 » Mon Dec 22, 2025 1:34 pm

Hello,

On the application for citizenship document's checklist, there is an item that reads "Proof of living in the UK for 5 years if applying..." However, it does not mention what type of documents should be uploaded.

Any advice?

Thank you!

That's the scanned passport pages covering the qualifying period (5 years).

Assuming you followed a visa and ILR route and not the EU route, it is only your passport stamped pages.

Hi,

This it's probably obvious, but just to make sure. My current passport does not have any stamped pages, as I haven't left the country (I got it last year). So, I'm assuming I should include pages from my previous passport, correct?

Thank you!

Yes, use the previous and current passport.
