Schengen Visa Multiple Entry query

Hello Forum,

Travelling to: Portugal
Duration: 6 nights

Applied for Schengen Visa with VFS Portugal with the exact dates and documents for travel and accommodation.

Received Visa today for just under 90 days and with Multiple entry, does this mean, I can now travel anywhere in Schengen zone within those 90 days?

I wasn't planning to but if I have already got the visa, I may squeeze in another holiday.

Schengen visa allows you to visit Schengen countries within the validity of your visa.
You may be asked to show that you are/will stay also in the country you applied for.

Does this mean that I can visit a another Schengen country on same Visa at a different date.
