queries about british naturalisation Arrival in the UK

Hi ,
I am currently applying for UK naturalisation. Before I was granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), I had submitted a different immigration application. However, before providing my biometrics, I varied that application to an ILR application. My ILR was then approved, and the Home Office automatically treated my earlier application as void because the ILR application had replaced it.
My question is: Do I need to include the details of that earlier application (the one that I later varied to ILR) in the section that asks:
“Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?”

Hi, thank you for your response. I did not provide biometrics for that earlier application, so should I select “No” for the biometric question in the naturalisation application?
If so, should I also include an explanation about this in my cover letter?

You only need to include the details of the ILR application. The dependant visa you initially applied for was void as it was varied to ILR, so no need to be declared.

You don't need a cover letter explaining this either, the Home Office know the rules.

This part of the application does not have any impact on your eligibility for citizenship anyway. Many don't declare every single previous immigration application and they have successful outcomes.

I am preparing my British naturalisation application. Under the section “Arrival in the UK” there is a question asking: “When did you first arrive in the UK?”
My situation is: I first came to the UK on 12 July 2017, arriving at Heathrow Airport on a Tier 2 ICT visa, and later switched to a Tier 2 General Dependant visa on 1 March 2020 while already in the UK. What date should I enter?
