Switching from Tier 2 new entrant - Tier 2 new entrant

Post by Malav2 » Fri Apr 03, 2026 11:36 am

Hi everyone,
looking for some clarity on the 2026 Skilled Worker new entrant route.

I graduated in late 2023 and held a Graduate Visa from Jan 2024 to Jan 2026.
I then switched to a Skilled Worker Visa (new entrant route) with my current company.

Now i am looking at switching companies for a role under SOC Code 2455.
The Offer: £41,500

Going Rate for SOC code 2455: £44,300

IS it true that there is a 4-year total limit for 'New Entrants' (including Graduate visa time), and I’ve only used about 2 years 2 months so far. However, because I am now 27 and already on a Skilled Worker visa (not switching directly from a Graduate visa anymore), do I still qualify for the 70% New Entrant route?

Or is the company required to match the full £44,300 going rate? I want to make sure the CoS is assigned correctly.

If I qualify for New Entrant route- would the extent of my new company visa be Jan 2028 ? (that would be the end of 4 year of Graduate + new entrat tier 2 visa)

Thanks in advance.
