Hi all,
I am in the process of completing my citizen ship application and i need some guidiance answering the Convictions and other penalties section.
Below are the issues i have had in the past and i need help selecting the right options.
I arrived in the UK in 2009 (student visa) and overstayed my visa. In early 2015, i was asked by the HO to report weekly to an immigration centre, i was then later granted permission to marry my EU partner, we got married in December 2015, i had limited leave for 5 years and granted Indefinate leave in Jan 2021.
I have caught speeding doing 35 on a 30 road in 2022 and completed a speed awareness course in December 2022, no points or endorsments went on my licence.
I unfortunately had to declare bankruptcy in November 2019 but this is now completely off my credit file and i have been on top of my finances ever since.
Convictions and other penalties
At any time have you ever had any of the following, in the UK or in another country?
Only select one answer at a time. If you need to give more than one answer, you can do so on another page.
A criminal conviction
A penalty for a driving offence, for example disqualification for speeding or no motor insurance
An arrest or charge for which you are currently on, or awaiting trial
A caution, warning, reprimand or other out-of-court penalty
A civil court judgment against you, for example for non payment of debt, bankruptcy proceedings or anti-social behaviour
A civil penalty issued under UK immigration law
sorry for the long post, i try to get all int information in one place and thanks in advance for your help.
