Limited leave to remain

Post by Taiwo36 » Thu Apr 23, 2026 5:11 am

Good morning everyone,

I have twin daughters who were born last year. I am currently an overstayer, and my partner is a British citizen. I submitted an FLR (Leave to Remain) application based on my children in July last year, but I have not received any correspondence from the Home Office yet.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows the usual timeline for this type of visa.

I originally came to the UK in 2020 as a student‑visa dependant. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out with my ex‑partner and we separated. I met my current partner three years later, and we welcomed our twins last year.

Hello Casa,
I am so sorry, I missed your response! Yes the form submitted was FLR(FP) family route. The application was submitted in July last year and biometric was done August same last year. Up until now I have not heard from the home office. Things had been extremely difficult and stressful. Do you or anyone know the timeframe for this type of application? When I submitted the application, I paid for priority services, however it was being returned when I went for biometric as I have ran out of visa as of then. I would really appreciate any advice or assistance and suggestions. Thank you so very much everyone.

According to the current Home Office (UKVI) timelines, FLR parent route applications are decided in an average of 12 months.
