Dad naturalised british living abroad, child born abroad

Dear experts,
Pls advise that I am a naturalised british national in 2015 currently living in pakistan and my child was born in 2021 in pakistan. Can I apply direct for british passport from pakistan online or do I need to get my kid registered first. Pls professional and experts advise needed.

Or longer. I have heard of applications for first British citizen children passports for children born on the Subcontinent to take between six months to a year.

Also be aware that while the child is a British citizen by descent automatically, any children born to that child (the OP's grandchildren) outside the UK will not automatically be British citizens. British citizenship extends automatically only to one generation born outside the UK.

I'll share my recent experience.
I had applied for my son's British passport (from India) on 7th May 26. They had asked to send many documents to be sent directly to UK, which we did. I had to attend an interview, which I did on 1st Sep.
I got passport approval email on 11th Sep, almost 4 months time.
