Irish WP Processing Times

Hi all,

Just a note for all those who are planning to apply for an Irish Work Permit in the near future. I recently put in my renewal application for my WP at the end of May and my employer received my permit in the mail yesterday! Talk about fast processing!

It usually takes 8-10+ weeks for my permit to come through, so if anyone out there is thinking of applying, do it sooner than later as it appears that the processing times now are faster than usual. Maybe it's just a lull in the number of applications the DETE are receiving at this time of year or maybe the whole process is indeed more streamlined? In any event, a less than 3 week turnaround is very good!
