Post by godfatherdon » Thu Jan 29, 2009 4:32 pm

HI guyz,
I am coming to UK for my MSC in nov2009. I am little worried about my spouse employment.. my course comes upto 12 months so my wife can work for a year as a student dependent. but after post studies what will be her visa as well as employment status??? after my MSc i clearly qualify for tier-1 based on PBS. so can someone please suggest any good idea so that my wife can work continously as long as i work in UK?? FYI:she doesnt qualify for tier-1 :-) please help!!!!!

If you qualify for the Post-Study Work visa (PSW) then your wife can get a dependant's visa and continue working full-time.

if the company can see a "potential " contibution then why not. Anyway if you qualify to PSW then you need to apply her for dependant visa same time as you switch category...

in a sense it is same visa category still - as a dependant

Dear godfatherdon,

I think you are worried much....dont get confused and over complicate. Jus come here and ask your wife to apply for jobs..... take it easy.

Cheers

thanx 4 the valuable cool down message buddy!!!
To tell u frankly i am investing a lot for my MSc in UK guyz so i am little bothered since we both to hv manage ourselves. if my wife(dependent) cant work for 3 years while i study then she can wait for few months and get her tier-1. hence i require ur valuable suggestions. 8)
