Passport Validity for ILR Holder to return to the UK

hi there,

I have ILR in the UK and I plan to visit Greece for a short trip next month. My passport is valid until mid July 2009. I need to get a certificate of non acquisition of british citizenship from the Home Office before i can renew my passport. So doubt i could renew before my trip. Fingers crossed for Greece to let me in when passport is only valid for 4 months. My biggest concern is whether the UK will let me back in when my passport is only going to be valid for 3 1/2 months when i return from greece. Do i need to have at least 6 months passport validity before i can reenter the UK?
