NCS appointment question

Post by Emma84 » Wed Mar 04, 2009 5:59 pm

I finally got around to getting myself an appointment at an NCS in Leicester. My application is on the basis of a 5 year stay as an unmarried partner of a British citizen.

My main question is do I need to bring him to the appointment with me?

Is there anything else I should take or expect to be asked? The person on the phone only told me to bring my application, passport and copy of my Life in the UK pass cert.

Emma, wait a minute, please confirm that you have ILR? You have not stated this and it is very important as regards a Naturalisation application.

As regards your question, you are not married to (or in Civil Partnership) with your partner and accordingly he is irrelevant as regards your Naturalisation application. So no, you do not need to take him, nor do you need to take his passport or anything about him.

Yes, I have had ILR since Jan 08.

Ok, just wanted to be sure. Thanks John. 8)
