Child born in the UK to EEA citizen

Hi, I am an EEA citizen who will be applying for settlement in November 2009 ( 5 years in the UK). I have a child who is two months old. Can I apply for his settlement now? Can I apply for UK travel document / passport? Thanks Petana

Once you have completed the 5 years, you can register the child as a British citizen.

Who is the other parent? A British citizen or permanent resident, or someone with a different status?

Depending on the answer child may be British already.

thanks. Father is iraqi with pending applivation for ILR so no hope there. Can I apply for ILR and travel document for my child on behalf of myself? many thanks P.

So the child is not eligible for British citizenship until November 2009.

What EEA country are you a citizen of and can the child get a passport from that country?
