You can include your wife even though she came after you. The difference will be when applying for naturalisation. Thats when you both have to satisfy the 5year residence rule. The slight difference being that your wife can naturalise after 'just' 5years whereas you would have had to wait 6yearsnewapplicant wrote:Hello friends,

Now I'll be completing 5 years of stay by 07-may-2009 AND I can go for ILR. I have got married on 01-March-2008 and my wife came on Tier1 dependent, which means by the time I apply ILR(MAY 2009) my wife will have have only 1.2 years of stay in UK, which means she is not eligible for ILR

To what status my wife's visa will be changed when I go for ILR application as she is not eligible for ILR by May-2010
