Post by chilbuli » Sat Mar 21, 2009 5:42 pm

Hi ,
actually i am on temporary leave to remain in UK since the last whole month with the restriction on my address and work .I have written the letter to border force requesting them to allow me to work until my appeal is in process but havent got any response and em really getting out of my finances . so what do you think are the chances that UKBA will remove my restriction to work and also if they wont reply to my letter is there any other authority i can write to ...will be waiting to hear from any1 experienced !

What are the circumstances in which you have been placed on reporting restrictions?

It's very unlikely you have any right to take employment, and if you don't, they're not going to relax the rules just for your benefit

hmm i have been interviewed bout my previous leaves on heathrow airport and as i had done nuthing for the first year of my leave in UK , the made it an issue although i did travelled and came back a year ago also but no1 asked me at that time ...for the first year of my leave as a student i came into a fake college and had to waste my whole year just because i already paid them but to overcome that problem i did take an admission in a proper uni and successfully completed my course and meanwhile i got one student extension and Post study work visa and for both visas i did mentioned my status on application forms but i dun know y they made it an issue now plus its been since 23 rd feb that i have sent my appeal but aint getting any reply for the hearing date due to which i am on a brink to lose my job ...
i know they tried that no matter even if he will get the visa bak still he will lose his job ...i just can imagine wat kind of justice is being provided in UK ...wen they cant compete they try to snatch it!

So, visa cancelled on arrival in the UK, and then presumably refused entry?
You may be physically in the UK, but legally you have not been allowed in, and your "temporary admission" is just an alternative to detention. You don't have the right to do anything here until your appeal is resolved. You can try asking the port that refused you, but they'll tell you the same.
You may think it's unjust, but you have been given the right to stay until your appeal is heard, which is more than you'd get in many other countries.
