child registration as a BC

Post by lapen123 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 6:37 pm

Hi All,

I, my wife & daughter got our ILR on 15/01/2009. I applied for my daughters BC registeration on 16/02/09 through NCS. We had to travel to India on 21/02/09 in emergency. I am back now but my wife and daughter are still there; they will be coming back in May09. HO has sent me a letter dated 26/02/2009, confirming receipt of application & fees.

My colleague told me today that We shouldn't have travelled before HO confirmed receipt of application. He said this is the condition of nationality.

Now I am bit confused as I didn't see any such condition mentioned in the MN1 form.
Could somebody tell me, if my colleague is correct?
If he is correct then what options do I have now??

Assuming that your daughter was born in the UK, don't worry about it.
