ILR under Tier 1

Post by fyounuspk » Fri Mar 27, 2009 9:56 pm

Hello
I moved onto Tier 1 from HSMP and am now applying for ILR. Two questions:

1. Do I fill out Form SET (O)?
2. Can I apply in person or by the application has to be by post?

Thanks
Fyounus

The new SET(o) applicable from 6th April still says that Tier1 to ILR required postal application. In person application not possible for Tier1 to ILR as per the new form.

SET(O) guidelines applicable from 6th april clearly states Tier1 appliants cannot apply in person

12 APPLYING IN PERSON
We offer a premium service to people who apply in person
at our Public Enquiry Offices (PEOs). This service is
available only for applications which are straightforward
and do not require further enquiries. The premium rate of
£1020 has to be paid for this service - plus £50 per dependant
if any are applying with you.
The premium service is not available for applications as a
businessperson, innovator, investor, self-employed
lawyer, Tier 1 migrant or Tier 2 migrant

Just another example of the total incompetence of these folks at HO.
They can't even update their own forms properly!
