hi i m new on this board. i hope that i ll get help frm here, i am a non eea national (indian). i entered uk ilegally bou 4 and 1/2 years ago, i av been to prison once for drink driving and now i report every month as an illegal immigrant, while i apllied as a family member of my eea national (latvian) girl bou 6 months ago and i been failed to provide enough documents to prove them that me n her av been livin togeda for last two years so they refused my application. but we r in love and we want to live together and we prefer uk .
will you let me know plz if there is any hope still left. ifanybody av any experiene o knowledge help me plz. every help would b appreciated, thanks a lot

I guess you applied as an unmarried partner. There is an element of judgment in these applications, and I am not surprised that they were skeptical in your case.

But if you want, you should be able to get married. The Certificate of Approval is now just a formality (and free!), so that is no longer an obstacle for you. And as a spouse they can hardly refuse you. You should however check the restrictions on ascension states, especially when it comes to your right to work.

yes we r unmaried partners cuz i tried bt didt get permission to get maried in this country cuz of my status is as an ilegal immigrant (illegal entrant) n i dnt have enough leave to remain in this country any more, so i m jus thinkin to go back to my origin country(india) n get maried in there n then try to get visa bt i m jus bit scared if uk will ban me for one o ten years. i av one criminal record as i av been caught as drink driver once n i av been to prison for one month for that, bt i m nt sure if this record will effect my case in any way. wen i was in prison i asked immigaration to send me back to my country so they accepted n said i will b sent home voluntrially, bt nt being deported, bt its uk border agency will decide if i ll b able to come back in this country.
bt once i came ou n i went to report in reporting centre i asked them that i wna get my documents ready myself to go back, due to which i got a bit of time to apply as familly partner of an eea national which has refused now cuz i didnt prove that we bin togeda for two years, so i m bit confused wot should i do now?
wot you reckon will i get certificate of approval to get maried while i dnt have permission to stay in this country, if yes how long the process is for for a normal COA application.
anoda thing i wna know if anybody av any knowledge bou this that if i stop reporting now obiously i ll b wanted by immigaration, if i go to my country(india) after few months n apply as a spouse visa after mariage frm there? will it effect my application in any way
