Thanks for your ideas and input for my question yesterday.

Since then I read the post

Another "how early can I apply for extension" question

and got this idea. Can you tell me if you think it would be a good idea?

If I apply 10mths before my Tier1 visa expires, I will be 33yrs old and can claim the 5 points for age. This means that my earnings need to be 29000 pounds instead of the 33000 pounds if my application is when I am 34yrs old.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.
