Document List for ILR

Post by ChetanOjha » Wed Jul 01, 2009 2:58 pm

Hi,

I have the following documents handy for my ILR application.

1. Payslips from April 2009 onwards + Bank Statement. [Can provide for last full year]
2. Dividend Vouchers+Letter from Accountant + Bank Statement
3. All P60s/P45s
4. HSMP Documents/Approval Letter
5. Life in UK Certificate (I am sitting for this soon)

Is this sufficient for ILR application? I have heard that you have to have WP document as for the same. The problem with me is one of my previous employer didn't gave me WP document. This employer only got my passport stamped with WP but never provided provided any WP document. Although from March 2006 onwards, I have WP document/HSMP/Tier 1 document sent by HO.

Will this cause any issue?

Thanks

Why do you need Dividend Vouchers, I thought payslips would be sufficient as you don't have to show certain level of income for ILR ?
Good luck !

Just make sure that all your supporting documents do not have more than 3 months gap between them. I got caught out by that when I applied for ILR and while they won't refuse your application, it may delay it.

Good luck with your application. :)

If I look at the visa date on passport (from-to), it appears to be fine.
But I do not have all the WP copies with me. Will it cause any problem? Though valid visa is stamped on my passport.

I meant your supporting docs, such as your payslips and P60s.

I assume your submitting all your P60s/P45s for the whole qualifying period, so they shouldn't kick up too much of a fuss at the Home Office.

Though someone with more HSMP to ILR experience may want to correct me on this.

I recently got my ILR as WP + Tier 1

Only documents they need

P60 for time being in Tier 1 - if not available, you can show bank statements
Last 3 months payslip or bank statement
Life in UK test certificate
Completed SET(O) form

That's all.

Excellent. You means not even bank statement of the whole period 5 year, NO WP documents, NO P60 of 5 years?

This is relieving.

Thanks rg1.

each case is dealt uniquely by different caseworker, its best to carry all the documents you have in your 4 / 5 years of stay and P60 especially...

I did not have all previous P60s, neither had full 5 yr bank statements. Had for 4 yrs only because when I came initially never thought I'd get ILR one day :)

In my initial 2 yr in UK I worked for an Indian IT company who didn't even give me P60. So I carried P60 for last 3 yrs only.

Old WPs are usually not required [but still you need to carry to be on safe side] as they have all details in their system anyway.

They follow SET(O) guidelines which clearly said economic activity proof is required for period you were on Tier 1/HSMP and for WP you had to show that you followed immigration rules.

No I meant the one you would be stamping each time when you change employer/address/visa. If you do not have Report to Police note in your visa, skip it.

This may sound obvious, but people sometimes manage to forget passports as they are not in the list of supporting documentation :)
Good luck !
