Extension Request - Help Needed

Post by jillsjack » Mon Sep 26, 2005 10:34 pm

I came to UK and was lucky to get a job in the two weeks and have been working since then in a permanant role. Annual salary is 35k.
My wife is not working though since my child is young and she cant work and has to stay with the Child.
Can someone help me on two points which worry me:
1. Would my annual salary be suffient for extension?
2. I got a parking ticket recently and I paid the fixed nitice fee...but would it effect my extension application in any way.

Thanx

Your salary of 35k sounds fine for renewal, I do not know about the parking ticket, but I don't think it should be a problem, it is not a criminal offence after all, have a read of the renewal form to see if it mentions anything, I doubt it does however.

A parking ticket is not a criminal offence. If it was, almost all drivers would be criminals! Traffic offences are things like driving whilst over the legal alcohol limit, doing 100mph in a 30mph zone, driving without due care and attention etc. Basically anything that involves attendance at a magistrate's court.

ofcharity,

Is there any stated amount of money one should earn per annum in order to be considered for renewal or for HSMP purpose.

Kindly advise.

There is no fixed amount of earnings as far as I know, you need to provide evidence that you are lawfully economically active, and able to maintain yourself without public funds, I have not heard of anyone being refused extension because their earnings were too low.
