Settlement (ILR)

Post by Sevinj » Mon Jul 27, 2009 11:47 am

Hello,

I have entered the UK in October 2005 under HSMP and got FLR for another 4 years after 1 year in October 2006. According the last changes (May 2009) I fall under the 6 April ruling from Justice Cox. So I can apply for settlement in October this year.

But I have a little problem because I was outside the UK for 8 months in 2007 due to my children’s illness. I have official letter from the clinic where they had a treatment during this time.

Do you think that I still have a chance to get ILR and would any solisitor take a responsibility for my application?

Were you employed in the UK during those 8 months? that might strengthen your case. I'd think you need to send such an application by post and with as much supporting documents as possible.
