Queries filling VAF9 form

Post by sasif_2003 » Sat Sep 12, 2009 7:12 pm

6.8 Have you made an application to the Home Office to remain in the UK in the last 10 years?

I was on a work permit to UK and returned back to INDIA before the expiry date in this case what should I mention?

6.2 Have you travelled to the UK in the last 10 years?

Date purpose Duration

12-MAY-2008 sHORT TERM ONSITE ASSIGNMENT 5 MONTHS

04-FEB-2008 SHORT TERM ONSITE ASSIGNMENT 7 MONTHS

Is that enought the above date format or should I mention Date as 12/05/2009-14/10/2008 and then number of days rather than months ?

Between 04th Feb 2008 to 16 SEP 2008 I was on a holiday trip to India and then returned back to UK.Do I need tomention the holiday trip separatly ?How should I mention those dates?

Please help!

thanks

YES

for both the questions..

it did not ask the dates nor no of day or months.. but you can put it for more cleareance.. as 12/05/2009-14/10/2008 months+days

Do not hide anything. Mention every time you have entered the UK separately.

And for every trip mention only the exact number of days you were present in the UK.

For example:

01/02/2008 to 14/04/2008
30/04/2008 to 04/07/2008
15/07/2008 to 14/10/2008
Please do not send me any Private Messages as I do not check these.

Many thanks. Again the doubt is I never applied for remain to stay in uk last 10 years and the response form Ramesh is I should mention Yes.

Is this question is for those who applied from UK for extension to stay after the work permit is expired?

I had only the work permit and on the form seperate section is available to enter the work permit details.

If so then both the places same work permit information should I mention?

Please can you let me know should I mention YES?

Filling the form to submit tomorrow.Your valable response is needed.

thanks

Seen it. Leave to Remain is for permanent residence. Therefore, you have not applied for it in the past 10 years.
