Immigrating to Germany

Post by RadiumBall » Thu Sep 24, 2009 7:16 pm

Hello All,
If I opt to study in Germany, Does the 2 year study period in Germany include the 5 year period for obtaining Long term EC Residence Permit?

Suppose I get a job in Germany and later fired or would like to change my job and my visa is nearing expiry, can I continue to stay in Germany until I get a new job? If not is there any provision in such a case or do I need to go back to my home country?

Thanks a lot.

If I understand Article 3.2a of Directive 2003/109/EC correctly then the answer is no.
