Hello Everybody,
I got a simple question, please reply ASAP. I have still 10 months WP UK visa and was marrying an EEA girl.
I had applied for COA from UK but couldn't submit the required documents like bank statement, bills etc on time ...and......
after 2-3 months recently i got letter from HO rejecting my COA application. Meanwhile we fought wid eachather and droped all over marring plans.
But luckily i found another love at first sight girl (......while i was fighting wid my X girl......) whom i love and she loves me and we are agreed to get married ASAP. And she is staying with me since more than 1 month while my last COA application was with HO.
So i wish to know can i reapply for COA within 1-2 months after earlier rejection??
I mean do they track older application and ignore newer application??
Thanx

The HO may well consider this is not a genuine relationship if you already had a pending COA (later refused) for a marriage to someone else while this new relationship was already existing. Remember that everything is on record.

Thank you very much for reply.
But it must be our decision whom we can marry cos it is our life isn't?
What should i do if while application we found something that make us feel that WELL this not gonna working.....!!
Any suggestion?
Any ways now i got this girl what should do with her.....even i will loose her as well if i won't marry her legally.

I'm not sure that I fully understand you. A COA doesn't give legal status in the UK...it's simply permission to marry. The Home Office can refuse this if they believe the marriage will be a sham (not genuine).
If you have only recently applied for an Unmarried Partner Visa for your previous relationship and are now intending to apply for a visa for your Ghanaian girlfriend the authorities may well be suspicious. This is why I asked what visa status she has at the moment and whether she is currently in the UK.
Have I imagined I read that your girlfriend is from Ghana? Seems to be something missing here!

Oh let me clarify what happened....
I had applied COA 12th of June09 and couldn't sent relevant documents, which were asked by Home office, even after a month cos we had some serious quarrel between us 3 days after we applied for COA and later we dropped plan to go further.
After that we got refusal of permission letter dated 29th of Aug09 (i.e., almost 3 mths) from Home Office cos not been able to submit relavent documents.
But thing is before we recieved refusal letter we departed with each other in June and i got another crush before the refusal letter from Home office and now i wish to marry this girl already living with me now since July.

I think you need a scicatric help rather then immigration help. Do not rush to get marry that quick if you had bad experience before. Give yourself a break so that you can make right decisions. I am sorry if I am being a bit harsh.

You haven't said what visa status your present girlfriend has. If you are granted a COA and then marry....what happens next? Is she here legally?

Would you have spent 5 yrs in the UK under WP after 10 months? And if so I think that mean you would be elligible for ILR by then. Don't you think that's a better route than trying to engage in a "Sham" marriage. Apologies if my assumption is wrong.

I wouldn't have thought it mattered when he's paying her for a visa.

Not with 'love at first sight' or with visas no. Never been refused a visa, not yet anyway.

It was just a joke. Any way back to point so what do think about OP's situation?

You summed it up in your first post. And the fact that it's blatantly a sham marriage.
