Tier-1 Application - Confusion - Complication

I am in the UK on PSW, getting married soon. Wife is eligible for Tier-1(She is getting 80 points, based on Earning, Education, and age from India).

Couple of questions:-
• IF my wife comes to UK as PSW Dependant, whether she can apply for Tier-1 while on PSW dependant in the UK? If yes, Once Tier-1 General approved, can I switch over within the country?
• While I am in UK, she applies for Tier-1 general in India & once she gets approval, can she comes to UK on Tier-1 & then can I switch over from PSW to Tier 1 dependant within the Country?
• While applying is it mandatory to send passport of main applicant and all dependants (either in / Out Country Application)?
• What’s the processing time of Tier-1 general application from India?

•While I am in UK, she applies for Tier-1 general in India & once she gets approval, can she comes to UK on Tier-1 & then can I switch over from PSW to Tier 1 dependant within the Country?Yes. She can do it. You can switch category from your home country.
•While applying is it mandatory to send passport of main applicant and all dependants (either in / Out Country Application)? Passport is mandatory. If you are applying for your dependents along with main applicant, you need to send passport of all candidates.
•What’s the processing time of Tier-1 general application from India? You need to check this thread started by tvn_ramesh.
