Degree points again at time of Tier 1 extension

My friend is going to apply for Tier 1 extension in couple of months. His initial application was based on MA Degree from Karachi University - 30 points.

As I have heard that no Pakistani degree even MA will award any points, than what will happen when he applys for extension ? Will he still get 30 points for his MA Degree as his initial application was awarded on this degree OR he will not get any points at time extension ?

Secondly he had provided English Letter from his University at time of initial application. Will it still be OK to satisfy English requirements or does he needs to sit for IELTS now ?

If Degree was recoginsed and pointes were awared during initial approval, he should be fine. Same for english language reqt as well.
