Non-contractual income for Tier-1 Visa

Post by abbassabidi » Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:00 pm

Hi all,

I am currently on HSMP (got from my home country) and applying for Tier-1 now. My salary is sufficient enough and I am getting more points than required. My question is regarding the non-contractual income I am getting from my company. That income is not part of my employment contract but every other month I get it as being supporting the system in out of office hours. Obviously it is being shown on my pay slips (i m paying tax on it) and on bank statements. I was just wondering which annual income option should I select, the one without on-call income or the one with it? Letter from my employer does not specify the exact non-contractual amount I have earned but it does say that I have earned non-contractual income.

Your comments would be much appreciated.

Thank you innocentdevil,

Basically I asked because it is a non-contractual income and I may or may no get it next year. From your reply it looks like they wanna know how much you have earned in last 12 months irrespective of your next year's income (and in my case would/could go down).

It doesn't matter what you may not get next year. All HO is concerned about is whether you have got it in past 12 months. You can claim Overtime, Out of office hours etc. This is your income (contractual or not) as you have worked for it and paid tax on it. Besides, it is appropriately mentioned on your payslips (and contributes to gross).
