Post by Vigour2405 » Sat Nov 14, 2009 5:40 pm

Could some one let me know that from where I could get a notorized and certified translation of my qualifying degree (which is in Hindi), which I am about to use in my Tier 1 application. I am applying within UK.
Thanks in advance for your response.

I got it done from Atlas Translators in London. You can either use the same or try somebody near your place. Make sure you are translating document in English. Many solicitors "verifies" the document which is not acceptable.

Hi Chetan,

Thanks a lot for this information. Actually in my case my qualifying degree has been written in both Language.(Hindi and English)

1) The logo of university, Name of University on Top is written in Hindi

2) Degree award sentance is written in Hindi and same is translated below in English.

3) Name of unverisity is also written in English at the bottom with signature and seal of university authority.

3) However , the date of award is written in Hindi.

:)

I am in a bit state of confusion that wheather I need a translation or not.
I would be highly oblized to you if you could guide me.

Thanks in advance.

You will be fine even without translation. Lot of south indian universities do provide the similar Degree i.e. written in local language+english and which are accepted.
