Bank Letter Format issue.

Post by Sasha25 » Sun Nov 15, 2009 7:12 am

I am applying for tier1 and submitting canara bank FD and Savings account. I got a letter from the bank to show funds are available. I am still very unsure if this will satisfy ECO..

***************
We wish to confirm that Mrs.XYZ is maintaining the following accounts with us

Savings Accout 12345 Balance Rs. 67,000
Fixed Deposit Account 12345 Balance Rs 58,000

The above balance is available as on the closure of business of 14.11.2009

The fixed Deposit is opened on XX/XX/2007 and due payment on XX/XX/2009

The money available in the above accounts is payable to her on demand.

The Certificate is issued at the specific request of the party with out any risk and liability on our part.

Yours Sincerly.

*************

My concern is with the wording of this sentence The money available in the above accounts is payable to her on demand.

Bank refuses to give the letter any other way so I cannot ask for a new letter. The most uncooperative bank I have ever been...

Do you think letter is ok ?

Please let me know...I am planning to apply in 2 days..

Thanks a lot

Sasha
