Notification to Barlcays regarding the payment to HO

I was talking to a Barclays (Using the telephone Banking facility) yesterday to inform that there would be a payment of around £1000 and requested them not to Block the transaction.

The reply from the Barclays customer service was not good, as he said that for debit cards, they can't make a note of such requests. He further added that if the Fraud prevention department feels that the transaction is suspicious, they would block the transaction.

This really show how OLD the system is and how dis-integrated their Data base is.

So the Lesson is:

If you have Barclays Debit Card and you are planning to use that card to pay HO, then it is better you be cautious on the above fact.

Suggestion:
Pay by POSTAL ORDER/by other credit card
